Favorite Screen Characters Tag

My friends Jaye and Morgan were kind enough to tag me in what is called “Favorite Screen Characters Tag.” Can I just say this was really hard? I don’t watch TV or movies a whole lot and even of the ones I do watch, I don’t have a lot of favorites. I found 5 easily enough. The last five were tough. So, without further ado – and in no particular order – here are my top 10 screen characters. Adam Cartwright 1. Adam Cartwright (Bonanza) Of the three Cartwright boys, he seems to be the most steady and stable. He also tends to be the wisest, especially when it comes to being “in love.”Alan Bourdillion Traherne 2. Alan Bourdillion Traherne (A.K.A: Mississippi) (El Dorado) I’m not entirely sure why I like Mississippi. Besides the fact that his naivete and fun-loving nature annoy Cole Thornton (John Wayne) so much. And he sometimes has great ideas. Sometimes. ๐Ÿ™‚ Jean Luc Picard 3. Captain Jean Luc Picard (Star Trek: The Next Generation) Okay, I’ll admit it. I’m a bit of a Trekkie. Not as bad as some, but worse than others. Of the Star Trek captains, my favorite is Jean Luc Picard. Although, Kathryn Janeway is a close second. I think the main reason Picard is my favorite is due to his personality being rather similar to mine. And he likes Shakespeare. And music. Oh, and yes, I do actually like Earl Grey Tea. Hot. John Wayne4. John Wayne (Pretty much any movie he’s in, although I haven’t seen most of them) Can you get any better than John Wayne in a cowboy hat and surviving in the Wild West? Princess Buttercup 5. Buttercup (Princess Bride) What’s not to like? Well, besides her stuck up attitude, and constant doubts. “Wove, Twue wove will fowwow you the west of yo days.” Unidentified6-7. Keith and Brad (Unidentified) Keith is the one in the back and Brad is the one on the phone. These two, a nominal Christian and Atheist are always bugging each other. And it’s very funny. And very serious. They work for the same magazine and often on the same articles (from different perspectives) and it’s quite interesting the things they discuss. Danielle Ever After8. Danielle (Ever After) I love this movie. The unique take on the Cinderella story is precious and I love Danielle’s character. Of course, some of the things she does aren’t exactly the most Godly or admirable. Gary Cooper9. Longfellow Deeds (Mr. Deeds Goes to Town) Poor boy gets rich suddenly and has to try to navigate through the rich and famous and all those who prey on him. He falls in love with a girl only to find out that she betrayed him. Gary Cooper does an excellent job portraying this character. Adam Mitchell10. Adam Mitchell (Courageous) Adam is the one in the front. Devoted father, he’s made lots of mistakes, but with God’s help, he does what he can to correct them and challenges others to do the same. His devotion to God is admirable. There are my top 10 favorite screen characters. Did you know any of them? Are any of them your favorites? I don’t know who all to tag, so I’ll tag a couple of people and give an invite out to whoever else might want to do this. Make sure you share your link with me so I can see who you chose. If youโ€™ve already been tagged or want to skip this tag, just ignore me. Raechel Aubrey Grace

  1. Oh my goodness, how did I forget Adam??!! O_o I ADORE Adam. He was my favorite on Bonanza from the first time I saw him when I happened to walk by the TV while my brothers were watching it. I guess I have way too many favorite screen characters. It’s too easy to forget one. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. I had to pick some Western ones, so it was easy for me not to forget Adam. I had a hard time coming up with them while I wrote the blog post, but afterwards, I came up with a ton! ๐Ÿ˜›
