Book Review: Enjoy the Poodle Skirt by Kate Willis

Title: Enjoy the Poodle Skirt
Written By: Kate Willis
Genre: Christian Children’s book
Recommended Ages: Any

I needed something quick to read before bed and remembered this one on my kindle. I decided to try it out and I’m so glad I did.

Characters: 1/1

Each of the characters are quirky in their own way and I think they each fit the time period.

Dialogue: 1/1

Most of the dialogue was the Canary talking and she has a super fun personality. I really liked it.

Plot/storyline: 1/1

The plot was short and sweet just as it should be in a children’s short story. I didn’t see any problems it it, either.

Overall writing quality: 1/1

I didn’t see any typos in the book and the writing never took me out of the story.

Un-put-down-ability: 1/1

It took me about fifteen minutes to read it in total, so it would have been hard to put down anyway, but even if it had been longer, I still wouldn’t have put it down if I didn’t have to.

Conclusion: 4.75/5

If you need a quick read, this is a super sweet short story. And it’s definitely child friendly.
