Hello! Besides books, I am also passionate about healthy living. Because of that, we are independent distributors for Young Living.
As a family, we try to live faithful to God as well as strive to be as healthy as possible. Part of that journey is using essential oils, implementing supplements, non-toxic products, and more. We love these products because they are a one-stop shop and they have been incredibly helpful for each of us.
Why did we decide to do a Young Living business?
There are three basic reasons, actually.
Our friend, Kayla, gave us a couple of booklets that explained the Young Living business. One of them mentioned that Young Living has farms all over the world, including in Ecuador. The author of the booklet told a story of how, on a retreat paid for by Young Living, she helped organize a library for a school that had been built for the children in the town where their farm was. The school had been built at no cost to the people in the town.
As a Christian, being charitable is something we are commanded to do, so when Bill and I read about this, it was one little proof that this was an organization we could get behind.
2. Possibility of prosperity
No, I’m not going all prosperity gospel on you. I just like alliterations. 😉 Another reason Bill and I decided to take this step of faith is because not only can we live with less toxins in our home and bodies, but we can also make it into a business for ourselves while helping other people get rid of toxins in their homes. We can also step alongside people who decide to not live more healthily, but who also want to make it a business for themselves if they so choose.
Did you know that the average woman puts more than 70 chemicals into her body before she even steps foot out of the door to her house in the morning? Between her makeup, hair products, skin care, and washing her hands (and/or dishes), everyone is pumping their body full of chemicals.
Yes, there are products out there that claim to be natural alternatives, but even many of those have some toxicity to them. And you have to go shopping around to try to find them.
With Young Living, you have a one-stop shop. Here, you can buy shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, liquid soap, household cleaner, makeup, essential oils, cough drops, massage oils, and so much more.
Some of these products might be a bit more expensive than if you were to go shopping around at the stores for the natural products there, but at least with Young Living, you will know that they are formulated without toxins. Plus, if you enroll in Subscribe, you can earn up to 25% back on your purchases!
