Do you trust God?
Sometimes, everything seems to be against us. We face wave after wave of obstacles and setbacks. Eventually, our strength gives out, and discouragement creeps in.
In times like these, we need to cling to God’s promises. He promises to be faithful, to do what is best for His children, even if we can’t see it past the darkness.
Trusting God with something precious to us, whether it’s a loved one’s health or a book release, can be difficult. But the God who holds the universe together is intimately acquainted with our concerns and fears. In times of discouragement, we must turn to Him and say, “I trust You.” As Proverbs 3:5-6 says,
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
That is one of the key verses in my book, Be Still, My Soul. Carsten’s entire journey is one of trusting God to work all things out for him and learning to trust people again, even when they don’t trust him.
As the oft-quoted verse says, “Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.” (Psalm 127:1, ESV)
